It's Here! The Erie Together Profile of a Graduate Workbook is Ready to Use

When our community came together to create Erie Together’s Profile of a Graduate, we weren’t trying to produce a report that would sit on a shelf.

We wanted to create a shared vision of what success looks like for every young person in Erie County.

That vision identified the knowledge, skills, and mindsets that employers, educators, parents, students, and community leaders all agreed are essential for success in career, college, and life. It gave us a common language and a common direction.

Now, we’re excited to take the next step.

The Erie Together Profile of a Graduate Workbook is now available as a free resource, and we believe it has the potential to make a real difference for students across our region. Rather than simply talking about communication, teamwork, problem-solving, responsibility, adaptability, and the other skills identified in the Profile of a Graduate, this workbook helps young people develop them.

Designed primarily for high school students, the workbook includes:

  • A pre- and post-assessment

  • Fifteen engaging, hands-on activities

  • Facilitator instructions

  • Student worksheets

  • Answer keys

  • Suggestions for continued learning

The activities are practical, interactive, and flexible enough for use in classrooms, after-school programs, youth-serving organizations, workforce development programs, or at home by parents and caregivers.

Like other Erie Together resources, this workbook isn’t intended for just one school or one organization. It’s for our entire community. Imagine educators, employers, youth organizations, and families all reinforcing the same expectations and helping young people prepare for successful futures together. That community alignment can make a tremendous impact.
