Inspiring Futures: A Look Back at Career Street's 2024-2025 Impact

At the close of the 2024–2025 school year, Career Street—a proud program of Erie Together—celebrated another remarkable year of opening doors and minds for students across our region.

Now in its eleventh year, Career Street continues to serve as a powerful connector between classrooms and careers. With the support of our dedicated educators, employers, and community partners, we created 4,853 meaningful student career experience during this past year alone.

Here’s how we did it:

·       Hosted 2 High School Career Fairs

·       Facilitated 4 Middle School Career Days

·       Organized a Job Fair for Seniors

·       Brought the trades to life with a Skilled Trades Fair for Middle School Students

·       Arranged 3 Job Shadow Experiences

·       Led 22 Employer Tours

·       Featured 20 Classroom Speakers

·       Launched 10 Career Cafés for curious 5th graders

These touchpoints aren’t just events—they are turning points. Whether it’s a student discovering a passion for healthcare on a job shadow or finding inspiration from a local entrepreneur in the classroom, each interaction builds awareness, fuels curiosity, and strengthens our community’s workforce pipeline.

Career Street also plays a key role in advancing broader Erie Together initiatives, including the Erie County Career Pathways Alliance, the Skilled Trades Initiative, and the Profile of a Graduate. Together, these efforts create a more connected, informed, and opportunity-rich future for our youth.
