Need Help with Finding and Enrolling in a Health Insurance Plan?

Individuals and families in Erie County have several options for obtaining assistance in finding and applying for health insurance through the healthcare.gov website.

Community Health Net has five Certified Application counselors who are available to assist consumers with this process.  To schedule an appointment, please call Outreach and Enrollment at 814-454-4530 ext 232 or stop by Community Health Net at 12th and State Streets in downtown Erie.

Information and enrollment sessions at the Blasco Library and other library branches are also being scheduled throughout the January – March timeframe; dates/times will be posted shortly.  Call Community Health Net at 454-4530 ext 232 or check their website at www.community-healthnet.com or the library website at www.erielibrary.org.  The Certified Application Counselors conducting the sessions are experienced in assisting people in creating an account and enrolling them through the healthcare.gov website. All library locations have Internet access which is especially helpful for those who do not have Internet access at home.

Additional sessions are being organized with several employers throughout the Erie County community who do not offer employer-based health insurance.

The Certified Application Counselors at Community Health Net are available 7 days a week to go into the Erie County community upon request to assist individuals in navigating the healthcare website. Sessions have already been conducted at many churches and social service agencies.  To request a Certified Application Counselor to come to your event or organization, please email mrobertson@community-healthnet.com

To learn more, visit the Community Health Net website (www.community-healthnet.com).
