Mary Bula, Erie Together Project Facilitator, facilitated the panel discussion during the 11th annual Economic Research Institute of Erie's conference, Investing in Kids: Can Early Childhood Education be an economic Development Strategy?

What was learned is that Early Childhood Education does make a difference in the lives of our residents. It is a critical foundation for future success; it prepares students for the workforce. But research also shows that education is an avenue out of poverty or can prevent a life in poverty.
