Community Volunteers

Erie Together is a movement, not a social service organization and would not exist without volunteers. Many people from all over Erie County give their time, energy, and expertise to continue to move the movement forward and reach our goal of making the Erie region a community of opportunity where everyone can learn, work and thrive.

Action Teams:

Volunteers meet in larger groups approximately every 6 weeks to share ideas and report on progress made since the last meeting. Many volunteers serve on smaller task teams within the action teams. Task teams focus on specific projects that will help advance the movement toward its overarching goals in each area. The task teams meet as needed to ensure that momentum is not lost and work is progressing. Click here to get involved in an action team or check out the meeting schedule or our events page. The meetings are open to anyone who is willing to attend.

Team 1: Childhood readiness and success
Team 2: Aligning education to careers
Team 3: Individual and family stability
Team 4: Balancing economic and workforce development

Community Forum:

Community Forum - Erie Together 1

Each year Erie Together hosts a Community Forum to report out to the public and get fresh ideas and insights, as well as to learn what others are doing to align in the fight against poverty. The forum is usually held in November and is free and open to the public. Check our News and Events pages for more information about this year’s forum.
